More Interesting Places

Find a Record--- Locate 20 Billion Records in Over 150 Countries ( This was posted on the facebook group "Technology for Genealogy".  "Thought you might be interested.  I tried it out and didn't find what I was looking for, but it led me to a bunch of good info I didn't have.  Looks like I'm going to spend the evening mining a database I didn't know existed on Family Search!)
I've built a tool called Find-A-Record that lets you search for record collections by location and time period. Some of you may have heard about it at RootsTech or on Dick Eastman's blog, but the site has changed significantly since then."

Blogs/ Newsletters/ and Podcasts

A good way to catch up on the latest in genealogy is to subscribe to newsletters and to read blogs. Kimberly Powell at About.com tried to make a list of the 10 best genealogy blogs. She couldn't stop at ten...in fact she has over 40! They are worth looking at; here's the link: http://genealogy.about.com/od/blogs/

Genealogy Guys is another favorite. They have hour podcasts about genealogy you can download and then listen to on your i-pod or mp3 player. Newer cars have a USB port and they can also be downloaded to thumbdrive and listened to on your car radio. Download several and then listen to them on your way to work each day. If you like books-on-tape (or CD) this might be just the thing for you.
